A practical review covering teaching purpose, accessibility, privacy, support and long-term cost.
Connect the tool to a teaching need
Start with the classroom problem and evidence for the proposed approach. Technology should improve access, practice, feedback or administration in a way teachers and students can explain. Novelty alone is not a learning strategy.
Test inclusion and daily operation
Pilot with different devices, connection quality and accessibility needs. Ask teachers how setup affects lesson time and what happens when the service is unavailable. Support, account management and repair can determine whether a promising tool remains usable.
Review data and total ownership
Schools should understand what student information is collected, why it is needed and how it is deleted. Include training, integrations, replacements and contract increases in the cost. Plan how records and student work can be retrieved if the product changes.
