On time for the GLT shuttle
When in Rome, do as Romans do – don’t go on paid tours. The service is excellent; it’s absolutely fantastic actually–you get a 24-hour pass that you can use to get on and off at any of the several stops throughout the day and the shuttle-vehicle itself has recorded audio commentary in quite a few languages–but the price just kills. Rome is apparently small enough, if you know your way around, to walk the full length, and thoroughly enjoy the pizzerias, cafes and glitzy stores along the way.
You apparently learn how to spend little and get more as you go, and the sooner the "great hand of Euro" is able to punch you in the face and knock you out the better. The exchange rate also kills.
So the shuttle makes it to the "how not to experience the eternal city of Roma" list. Which we’ll assume exists.
Or maybe I should write one now. Hmm…
